The company offers practical, high-impact courses and real-time simulations that help medical professionals enhance their diagnostic skills. With a focus on flexibility and quality, MRI Online serves thousands of physicians around the world.
Project Goals and Objectives
React.js
WordPress
— Design & Web Development
The main goals of MRI Online were centered around optimizing their WordPress-based platform, improving system functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration using LearnDash and MemberPress, and transforming WordPress into a headless CMS to work with a React.js-based front end for showing the courses to radiologists as end users.
The Challenge
Before partnering with us, MRI Online faced significant challenges related to scalability, system integration, user experience, and technical maintenance. Their platform was built using WordPress for content management, LearnDash for learning management, and MemberPress for subscription handling—systems that were not fully integrated, resulting in fragmented workflows and inefficiencies. As their user base grew, the platform began to suffer from performance bottlenecks, particularly during peak usage times when many radiologists accessed courses simultaneously. The system struggled to manage the increasing traffic and data load effectively. Additionally, the user interface was not optimized for ease of use—administrators found it difficult to manage courses efficiently, while learners experienced a clunky and unintuitive experience. Integration issues between WordPress, MemberPress, and the billing system further complicated user subscription and access management, leading to delays in membership activation, cancellation issues, and inconsistent content access based on subscription levels. These limitations hindered MRI Online’s ability to grow and deliver a seamless learning experience to radiologists globally, highlighting the urgent need for a more scalable, flexible, and integrated technical solution.
Our Approach
Based on all above explained implementations and proccesses we did improving performance, streamlining operations, and providing a scalable infrastructure, the project yielded significant benefits for MRI Online. These outcomes included a 35% reduction in load times, a 25% increase in user engagement, and 20% cost savings in maintenance and operations. The combination of custom API development, headless CMS architecture, and performance optimizations resulted in a faster, more scalable, and user-friendly platform that effectively supported MRI Online’s growing global user base and mission to deliver high-quality, specialized radiology courses.
Results & Impact
To address MRI Online's challenges, we provided a comprehensive solution that involved improving their existing WordPress infrastructure, integrating advanced functionalities with LearnDash and MemberPress, and transitioning WordPress into a headless CMS to serve courses content through an external React.js front-end when keeping the user membership registration on WordPress as well as posts and the rest pages that are not for courses, This approach required custom plugin development, system optimizations, and seamless integrations to ensure scalability, efficiency, and an improved user experience. We optimized the performance using caching and speed optimization tools, while improving functionality with LearnDash for course management and MemberPress for subscription handling.
